Mahindra

The Mahindra is not well known in Zimbabwe, and completely never heard of for the undiscerning or unobserving motorist. For the observant, it is brand that has recently appeared on Zimbabwean roads, with different looking pickups. It is represented in Zimbabwe by Ameriworld. Since 2018, Mahindra is now assembling some of the vehicles in South Africa.

Among the most common models are the Scorpio Pickup, which has managed to find its way into the car parks of some State Enterprises for their off road use.

Other notable models KUV100, XUV500, and TUV300

Mahindra is very big in India, being a manufacturer of vehicles across the board, including military and farming equipment, including the Jeep JC3, under licence. Mahindra competes with Maruti Suzuki and Tata in the Indian market.

Business started with the assembly of the Willys Jeep under licence, ten branching out with own models of commercial vehicles, saloons, SUV’s, and others, including farming equipment.
